To advance our mission and vision, we will advocate for the following shared values and goals:

1. The HCDFL will advance our mission by electing candidates to public office who represent shared values.

2. The HCDFL strives to promote and ensure a healthy environment for all its current and future residents, including those involved in agriculture, the arts, fishing and hunting and tourism.

3. The HCDFL strives to achieve equality, equity, fairness and representation of the underserved and underrepresented in our communities.

4. HCDFL believes in securing a bright future for our children by supporting public education and in promoting opportunities for adults to gain new skills and knowledge.

5. HCDFL believes that healthcare is a right, not a privilege only for those who can afford it.  Healthcare needs to be accessible and affordable to everyone. No one should avoid seeking medical care or obtaining their prescriptions because they cannot afford it or because they have an extremely high deductible.

6. The HCDFL recognizes and respects the sportsmanship of legal hunting of game. We advocate for gun safety to prevent accidental or violent deaths by firearms.

7. HCDFL advocates for the right of each eligible voter to participate in a fair election, have easy access to voting polls, and to actively participate in the democratic process of voting.

8. HCDFL hosts social and other events and activities to build party unity, attract new members, raise DFL visibility, and promote DFL values within our district.

9. HCDFL actively supports human rights, and civil rights. We affirm that all persons are born free and equal and are entitled to the same dignity and rights. We believe that everyone has the right to fair and equal opportunities, treatment, justice and equal protection under the law.  These rights shall not be abridged, rather they shall constitute at all times a core principle to our actions.
